James Cameron Collaborates with Alien: Romulus Director and Writer


Director Fede Álvarez and co-writer Rodo Sayague are gearing up to deliver a thrilling new installment in the Alien franchise, blending horror with action reminiscent of the series’ iconic roots. In a recent interview with Total Film, Álvarez and Sayague shared insights into their creative process, highlighting their consultation with none other than James Cameron. 

Cameron’s input, which delved into intricate details like the size of the ship’s engines, underscored the filmmakers’ commitment to honoring the franchise’s legacy while bringing fresh perspectives to the table. 

Álvarez humorously recounted their interaction with Cameron, expressing awe and gratitude for the opportunity to brainstorm with the legendary filmmaker. Total Film also unveiled a new image of the film’s protagonist, Rain Carradine, portrayed by Cailee Spaeny, teasing fans with a glimpse of what’s to come. 

Additionally, Fandango released another image, hinting at the perilous journey Rain and her companions will embark on, facing the dreaded Xenomorphs in a battle for survival. With a cast featuring talents like David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu, Alien: Romulus promises an intense and unforgettable cinematic experience. Prepare to confront your fears as Alien: Romulus arrives in theaters on August 16.
